WHY WE GIVE

 

When we give back a portion of what God has given to us, we celebrate Jesus’ work in our lives, we reflect his love and generosity to the world, and we help those in need.

“‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’ And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

HERE: AT COLONIAL WOODS

Our giving makes a huge impact right here at Colonial Woods. Our ministry to kids, youth, and adults of all ages takes many forms—worship, small groups, support groups, studies, community outreach, and much, much more. Our gifts make it possible for CW to carry out its mission to lead people to become fully committed disciples of Christ through changed lives.

NEAR: OUR COMMUNITY

 

“Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous.” 2 Corinthians 9:11

We financially partner with numerous local ministries. Our desire is to support and empower like-minded organizations who are positioned to make a positive impact on our community.

FAR: AROUND THE WORLD

“So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers… will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:12

A portion of our giving also supports like-minded global missions, initiatives, and organizations. We believe God is at work in the world, and it is our privilege to partner with him to impact people, communities, and nations far from our own. That is part of why we take a month every year just to celebrate Missions; we want to help our church create Strategic Partnerships around the globe and leave a worldwide impact.
